An exhibition, the virtuous circle of art The Art market is ready to welcome new fascinations, the success of public and critic of the first edition of ROMA-The Road to Contemporary Art, has proved it. ROMA has launched a new season in the international panorama of the Art Fairs, choosing to keep out from the trade show pavilions which sometime have turned fairs into an out-and-out Art superstores. ROMA has demonstrated that there’s a new way to present Contemporary Art in ancient locations: a different way of dialogue among sites and set up to create a different fruition of past and future. ROMA-The Road to Contemporary Art- has brought Art back to Art. Rome unique scenery has reset to zero the existing gap between Contemporary Art and historical palaces. A charming contrast which has dazed art dealers, collectors, curators, journalists and art lovers. They have found again the relish of admiring Art in a new atmosphere, establishing a dialogue with the works and a contemplation which is typical in museums’ venues. Since these preliminary remarks the second edition of ROMA- The Road to Contemporary Art, is born. A lot of elements are confirmed. International and Italian exhibitors will have at their disposal buildings with a great historical and architectural value; collectors, coming from all over the world, will be invited and hosted during the Art Fair; guests will have access to a rich and articulated cultural programme which develops in several venues with various public and private, national and international partners. The programme will be partnered with exhibition projects and events which will be able to attract not only a dedicated public but any art lover, in order to confirm that ROMA is a project different from any other, it is transversal, it looks and it is turned to a broad public. Contemporary art is naturally in a continuous evolution, and ROMA –The Road to Contemporary Art, cannot do without renovation too. In 2009 novelty will be a new section especially conceived for emerging galleries. Those which pursue new trends and innovative Art languages will join the ones which promote already well-known artists in order to create a vital discussion being able to answer to various cultural proposals and commercial uses.
